Currents Forecast Guidance
This near surface currents velocity animation was created from the latest NGOFS forecast guidance
in the Northern Gulf of Mexico. The forecast is for the next 48 hours of current velocities as simulated by NGOFS
when it is forced by forecast products from the National Weather Service's North American Model
(NAM) and Global operational Real-Time Ocean Forecast System (RTOFS).
